7 new videos have been uploaded to Build It With Phoenix
Hey there!
Over the weekend, I uploaded 7 new videos for the Build It With Phoenix video course. The course now has 26 videos totaling 2 hours and 43 minutes of content (with more to come!). The new videos are
- pointing out a deprecation in video 8 and how to overcome it (now meant to be watched before video 8 until I can re-record that video)
- eliminating compiler warnings by cleaning up code
- how to update dependencies
- how to deal with deprecations due to updated dependencies
- first steps with Ecto and loading chat messages from the database
- persisting chat messages to the database
- keeping our code's API clean by removing unused functions created by Phoenix's generator
We are getting close to the end of our coding journey together. I'll be recording more videos about Ecto and creating users (including an authentication system) in the coming weeks.
